In 1902 W. I. Pate donated an acre of land to build what would be called Patterson Missionary Baptist Church. Patterson Baptist was organized by the families of Henry H. Pate, W. I. Pate, W. D. Parsley, T. A. Baskin,O. M. Watson and Thomas Monroe (Bud) Watson along with the help of the Concord Baptist Association. Even to this day descendants of W. I. Pate and Thomas Monroe (Bud) Watson attend Patterson Baptist Church. These close knit families brought to the Patterson Community a sense of Faith and Fellowship which still exists today.
As stated in our Articles of Faith Section II Of the True God, written over 100 years ago...
We believe there is one and only one living and true God, an infinite, intelligent spirit whose name is Jehovah, the maker and supreme ruler of heaven and earth, expressively glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love: that in unity of the God head there are three persons, The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost: equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
As you reflect on God's purpose in your own life, it is our hope and prayer God will touch your heart in a way for you to join a church of your choice.
If you are looking for a warm and loving atmosphere for your family to worship and grow in His Spirit join us for a Sunday Service. I believe you will see a body of believers who are willing to may a greater impact for Christ in your community and the world.
